~Thanksgiving Hutch~

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a happy weekend. Today, I just want to share a little more Thanksgiving with you. For a closer look you can click on the pictures.. This is the hutch in our living room......... It's been in my dad's family forever and now it's in my home....I just love it. I always display my moonstone on it and tuck holiday pieces in and around the moonstone. There is a cabinet on the bottom I keep my granma's china stored there.
I just love this turkey platter and the bittersweet vine. Please don't look too close at the platter....you'll see some huge cracks. A year ago when I unwrapped it, I found it had broken into about six pieces...well, I just couldn't part with it so I glued it together, plus it's all taped up on the back......good as new. Don't ya think....

I have only only of these shakers, but the colors are different and I think it's a good match for these plates.
This turkey head Carl found at WX last month...I love the colors. I think it's from a decanter of some sort...there is a cork stopper in it.
These Pilgrims are new this year. I liked them because they are in pastels and I think they look nice with the moonstone. Well, the laundry is calling me.... a happy day to all...hugs, Linda

Oh, you have such wonderful decorations. The turkey platter is just gorgeous...the cracks do not take away from it at all and I know had I discovered it cracked, I'd have done as you did.

I have my parents hutch also, but I love your Thanksgiving ware. Very festive and comforting. I like that comfort look, it says come in, and I will feed you.

Such beautiful Thanksgiving decorations you have! I keep forgetting that you Americans still have Thanksgiving to celebrate yet...we Canadians had it in October! lol I LOVE your moonstone dishes...I think you're the one who told me what they were when I had shown a picture of a sugar bowl and creamer I had bought at one of the auctions:-) I don't blame you for loving that hutch you inherited, it's gorgeous!! xoxo

I have one of those turkey plates like you have in your hutch Linda! I use it in a plate stand as decoration at Thanksgiving time. Just about all I have to decorate with for Thanksgiving except a crocheted turkey that my aunt made for me. LOL!

Sorry I am not visiting as much right now. If you read my blog you already know we are in the middle of lots of remodeling.

Hugs ~

I would love to find some of those plates. The turkey stopper is so cool too! That's neat that your hubby picked it up for you!
