Before I say goodbye I have a favor to ask of you. Please say a little prayer for my next door neighbor, Dalme . I know you don't know her but this is a very sad time for her and I know prayers will help to heal her heart. Yesterday Dalme and Howard, another of my sweet neighbors were out for their morning walk (7am). As always Dalme had her faithful dog Ninja with her. They were one block from home when a pit bull broke through it's fence and attacked Ninja. Dalme and Howard screamed for help all the while trying to free Ninja. Finally after what Howard said was at least 5 minutes the owner came out and pulled his dog off. Ninja didn't survive. It is always so sad to lose a a beloved companion form old age or an illness, but to see your dog mauled to death is truly heart breaking. Prayers are powerful and I know she will feel a sense of comfort, tho she may not know why.
With tears in my eyes and a heavy heart.......thank you dear friends. Linda

My heart goes out to your friends, I have lost many a pet to natural causes and a car or two. But that way, I can't even imagine. Thankfully a child was not involved.

That must have been a horrible thing for your friend to witness. I couldn't imagine how I would feel if something like that happened to Maggie or Teddy. My thoughts are with your friends.

Oh no! How awful for them. I'm so sad to read this.
Congratulations on your award!
My heart goes out to your friends - I cannot imagine watching that happen to a beloved pet and feeling so helpless to stop it.
Perhaps the owner of the pit bull will feel badly enough that they either get rid of their dog OR keep it indoors so that such a PREVENTABLE tragedy NEVER happens again!!
BTW - Thanks for visiting my blog!.
Blessings,
Dallas [aka Mrs M]
Losing a pet in such a terrible
way breaks my heart. I thought
about this last nite after I went
to bed, so heartbreaking. My
sympathy goes out to them....
Hugs to all!!!
I will put these flowers on my
sandwichedmom site. Jewelgirl
I'm praying your friends are doing a little better, it may take a long time though, our little dog died last July and we are still missing him so much. I hate those pit bulls and hope they are banned someday! Did the police get involved? They do here and put them down when they maul someone, or some other animal.

Thank you for visiting on my silver bucket....Betty
Thanks for the great award Linda, I am so sorry to hear about the dog. Just aweful. Rachael
Oh Linda, our thoughts and prayers go out to your neighbours! I know only too well how they must be feeling. One of our dogs,a little terrier called Shellie was attacked by three of our own dogs who suddenly acted as a pack and savaged her little body!Thankfully we have a brilliant vetenary team and they worked so hard to save her, they lost count of the stitches there were so many! She survived, but I would never want to go through that again! The 3 dogs had to be put down as it was thought they would do it again! It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do!
Love fom Kathyann and the girls
