Another Beautiful Day

Happy Monday to you! It is a beautiful morning......the sun is shining brightly and a wonderful day is waiting.

What did you think of the Super Bowl? For me, I thought the game was kind of draggie, but the last few minutes were so exciting...no matter who you were rooting for. Did you have a favorite commerical? As always mine was the Budweiser one with the amazing horses and sweet Dalmatian. It was tasteful and touching. I don't know why but it brought a tear to my eye...I guess when animals are involved I'm just a softie.

I've been seeing lots of darling holiday banners and liked them so much, I wanted to make one. This is my first attempt. I used doilies, three different sizes and colors. I added vintage buttons and the press on letters and there you have it. I was on a roll, so I made several more for friends, all just a bit different. This was fun and I think they all turned out pretty sweet. You still have time to make one, I hope you do.
Here are some of the my Valentine 's I have sprinkled around my living room.
The book cases. Mmmm, I just realized there is not one book here.
I have Hummels and pottery displayed.....I think I better find a book or two.
I love this cloche.....it was a Christmas gift from my friend, I have more fun changing the little vignettes within....this one just makes me smile.

Michelle, thank you for this award, you did make my day. I'm sending you a giant hug. Through blogging I've traveled the world, met the most kind, talented, interesting ladies and I would like to pass this award on to .....
Rosemary and Dona who make my day when I visit them.

Have a happy day.......my day is waiting and I'm off to play in the glorious sun. Smiles, Linda

I love the way that your pottery looks! It has all come together to create a very pretty Valentine's Day look. I tend to do my treasure hunting by color with the thought of holiday displays too.

Your banner turned out really nice!

What kind of pottery is that? I love it! My hubby just got me a bird made out of pottery that looks to be that same white color..

Good Evening Linda,
I have been down in the dumps today and haven't had the will to do a post. It has been a mostly cloudy day here and the temperature got up to 72 degrees at one time. We have a very good chance of some very strong Thunderstorms for tomorrow. I love you Valentine's Banner that you did. You did a great job on them. All of your other decorations are just gorgeous. "CONGRATULATION'S" on a very well deserved Award and to the one's you passed it on to. You do brighten my day when I visit. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Congratulations on your blog award. I love all your little Valentine decorations & Hummel figurines. Years ago my daughter spotted what she thought was a sweet little figurine for me at a garage sale for 25 cents.
A little boy with a bird on his shoes. Knowing how much I love birds she bought it even though the finger on the little boy was chipped - she knew I wouldn't mind. As soon as she showed me I knew she had picked up a bargain - it is a Hummel :-}

Love is in the air... and ON YOUR BLOG. What a fantastic place you have here, I'm enjoying my visit. Thank you Linda for joining our pink artist project. I know your contribution will be beautiful. Please mail your square to me by March 1. If you can't meet that deadline, no worries there is also a wall hanging art piece in the works. All squares will go towards these projects to benefit the Susan G. Komen fund. It is an honor to work with you on this important cause. Happy day to you, Monica :)

What cute valentine decorations you have! I am decorating tomorrow - yea!!!

I didn't watch the super bowl, my hubby was watching it, but I was doing busy work around the house, I'm just not that into it. The only time I get into it is when we go to a party and we bet quarters on the score!

Hugs, Sharon
