Lunar Eclipse

Good Morning. Did you follow the lunar eclipse last night? It was so awesome, I love the night sky and this was a spectacular show. Here are a few pictures I was able to capture.
I walked down to the corner and was able to get a good view of the moon ....it's about 6:40pm. in this shot. You can click on any of the pictures for a close up.......please besure to click on the last one
This is about 6:54 pm. At this point I just watched and enjoyed the eclipse. About midnight I took the next picture from my backyard. It's my favorite.
When I look at this beautiful full moon with light clouds hugging it, I see a special image. Do you see something special? I hope so.

I wish for all of you a wonderful day. Linda

Hi Linda,

It was truly a wonderful sight to see! I'm glad that you were able to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your pictures. I like the one of the tree shadow cast upon the sky. That's pretty cool.

Take care.

We watched too. Also had to walk down to the corner, my husband with his fancy camera and tripod got some great shots and we got to talk to our new neighbors in the dark. Funny how it takes an event like this to get us out of our homes in the winter.

Linda,
I see that heart. I remember how much you love them (your heart rocks post was one of the first blogs I read and it stands out in my memory!)
I too love the night sky, and DH and I took pictures of the eclipse too. I think it's always so neat to know that someone thousands of miles away is looking at the same thing I am at exactly the same time. What a treasure!
Cheers!

Hi Linda! It was very cold here and the sky was crystal clear. I took a few photos. We watched from our bedroom windows, starting around 8pm. I lowered the window to take photos and got so cold. Then I'd run over to the bed and put my feet under Molly to warm up, then back to the window again. I was determined. It was beautiful!

I also want to tell you, I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbors' precious dog.

Good Evening Linda,
Sorry I'm so late in visiting but tis that ugly time of the month for me and I've been in and out of bed all day. I have to take pills about every 4-5 hours for the first 3 or 4 days for my cramping. My DH finally got home around 5:15p.m. this evening. I love the pictures of the Eclipse. We didn't see it here because it was cloudy. Also, the wind had picked up and it was turning colder and if you stayed outside, it would just go thru you. "THANK YOU" for sharing some beautiful pictures of the Eclipse. I read your previous post about your neighbor's dog. That was just so sad. I will keep them in my prayers as I know it must have been so hard on them to see it happen. I'm sure they will never forget that. We are under another Freezing Rain Advisory for tonight until 6:00a.m. We all went up town tonight and ate supper and it was doing something then. It' 30 degrees right now. We may get some more ice before morning. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

It looks like a heart! Cool! Did you see the picture of my heart moon a couple of weeks ago! Maybe God is telling us something! Very cool. Yes, I got to see the eclipse, but my pictures did not turn out very good. I wish I was a bit closer.

Have a happy weekend!

I missed it darn. Once it is dark I am in and in bed early. My husband and I both get up early. It is raining so hard this morning. I can hardly wait to play outside in the spring.
Have a wonderful day,

I ran outside to check it out too! It was about 10:30 here when I stepped outside. I didn't take any pictures. I actually had just gotten into bed and remembered that they said our best time to see it was 10:00 to 11:00. So I was in my Pj's and coat standing in the driveway.
Hugs,

Thanks for sharing about the eclipse. We had cloud cover but we were hoping for a break in the clouds.
I really like your heading picture!

Hi Linda,
Yes, I did see it! My husband was out of town and we were talking on the phone, miles away from each other and watching the eclipse...it helped to know that even though we were far apart, we could watch the same moon...
