~ A Little Fishin Therapy and A Lunch Date~

Last week Carl went for his bi-monthly blood test and then we had a date for lunch at one of my most favorite spots. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. After the lab he had a therapy session.....a little fishing and mother nature provided........ a beautiful sunny day, peaceful setting, the anticipation of a catch, plus....ducky entertainment, lots of birds singing and chattering, a red headed woodpecker tapping away, turtles swimming by and sunning themselves on nearby rocks and if your lucky you might even spot a sea lion......
Hi honey.......time for lunch. Nothing fancy, but isn't this just a blissful spot. Carl had lots of bites and I know, it sounds like a fish story, but a big one did get away. Guess who had the catch of the day? That's right, me. Just a little fellow...to small to keep...but so much fun to bring in.
Walking up the levee you never know what you'll see. I think this is some sort of a thistle, kind of pretty...but awfully prickly......
And I don't think I want to know what lives in there....hopefully just a furry critter.

Well, time to head home.....same time..same place..next week. It's a date!

Find your spot and enjoy.......Linda

Hi Linda!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
I'm always looking forward to the next ornie issue - usually right after the current one hits my mailbox!
I love the little fork chandie - my middle son proceded to tell me how easy it would be to make (he can't stand not to know how to do anything so he had to study it!) I told him I was sure it wouldn't be hard, but it was so much easier to let Margo make it! LOL
Hope you had a great stitch together. We had to move ours to tonight so I'll have to do all my packing tomorrow!

Hi Linda, thanks for sharing and the visit, I love to fish, I grew up in Alaska and also am part owner in a family business of a hunting and fishing Lodge there off the Kodiak Islands! I miss the fishing and that is all! Love your birdies, and the meatloaf, looks devine, I have to try zuchinni, love that veggie it is so versitle. I just made Donna Lynns recipe for meatloaf, it is Southwest style with salsa and crushed red pepper, cilantro and chiles, and all kinds of goodies! Have a wonderful day! XO Diana Lyn

Hi Linda,
That looks quite relaxing there and most of all quiet (how nice!).

I don't think I want to know what's living in that hole either, good just to walk away, isn't it? ;)

Happy day!

Linda this was a nice relaxing spot that you chose for us today! My hubby loves fishing but I love to just sit and watch the sky..A nice comfortable
quiet when I go fishing with the man.
Lots of different sounds on the water...and of course munching on the packed lunch a favorite pastime too for a non fisher..woman!
