They are from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's...my favorite one is the cookie recipe book on top...it has some old timey recipes I have never heard of. Sugar Bells, Fig Chewies and Butter Riches. I have no idea if I will bake them but they sounded yummy.
At the bookstore I found some great books for my reading stash. The Elm Creek Quilt series by Jennifer Chiaverini is wonderful. Even if you are not a quilter, you find yourself caught up in the lives of these ladies who love to stitch. I was so excited when Lisa found this sweet book.....
I love Beatrix Potter anything. Did you see the movie? I thought it was wonderful...I think it's a must see and a perfect addition to your film library.
Oh, before I say goodbye I should explain the happy birthday wish was to my sweet SIL, Carolyn (in Texas)....thank you for your hellos and wishes to her. I wanted to show you the little initial I stitched as part of her gift....she has it now so I not giving away the surprise.

TY for the lovely comments. You should be able to find this magazine QUILT, 30th anniversary, in
either your large supermarket or fabric stores ... it is a major publication ... or online. Have a beautiful week.
HB to Carolyn, what a lovely SIL you are for her.

Fun day out Linda! I love the Elm Creek Quilts books. I have them all and am even making Sylvia's Bridal sampler. Miss Potter is a constant source of inspiration while I stitch my Beatrix Potter sampler too. I think you and I have such similar taste as you also mentioned loving the same cozies as me too. It is so nice to have kindred spirits online isn't it!
Hugs ~

Oh the Elm Creek books are favorites of mine. I like the ones where the story takes us into the past.
And I did see that movie, it was very good. She was a very determined young lady although her Mother didn't give her much credit.
Sounds like you have a fun day.

You found a very neat stack of new and old books there. Happy reading. I am reading a new author right now. It is really good. It is by Jodi Thomas called Rewriting Monday. It is very good, even though I am not reading as much right now. Have a good day.

Hi Linda, looks like you did well at the Garage Sales. I want to hit some this weekend too but I work so won't get to spend long going to them. I love the Jennifer Chiaverini and I have the Potter movie on reserve at the library. Have a great weekend!
I love the tray and cookbooks and yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the Beatrix Potter movie as well.
When I was a little girl, I had Beatrix Potter artwork hanging in my bedroom - I think that my Dad made them by pasting lithograph prints on a wood background because that's how they appeared. Not sure if these pieces still exist in my parents' garage, but I'll have to check now.
Just came across your blog through another blog. I'm a Linda also -- Nice to meet you here.
