Every Wednesday my honey goes to a little flea market in Galt. Look what he found today. This is just the sweetest little dish, I think I might use it for candies. Does anyone know what kind of glass this is?
Which way do you think I should display it. Empty.......or........
filled with these yummy chocolates by Lindt. Mmmm, they are so delish, very creamy and they just melt in your mouth.
This candy is a truffle and comes in milk, dark and white chocolate. I think the dark chocolate is my favorite. Well, what do you think empty or full?
Blessing ~ #11 The gift of today.....for this is all we really have, enjoy it.
Blessing ~ #12 The beauty and fragrance of the very last roses in your garden.
Happy days to you and remember to smell the roses. Linda

I say leave the dish empty - cos once you fill it you are only going to eat all those yummy chocolates. No really I like it empty because you can see the pattern on the glass.

I say CHOCOLATE...
Does your seet dish have a lustre to it? Very pretty...
Priscilla
I have a dish just like it. It is carnival or depression glass I think.
Enjoy it,
Rosemary
I say FULL!! That is until you eat them :) That way you can enjoy it both ways.. full and then empty. It's really pretty.. reminds me of dishes my mom had when I was a child.

I think it's called carnival glass too. You can see the glass better without chocolate, but everyone will like it better WITH chocolate. Thanks for the nice comments on my quilt blocks.
It is a certain color of carnival glass. I forgot the name ,but will try and find out. I say for the holidays put the candy in,but after display it for show. Good job hubby!
Pretty! Yes, carnival glass - marigold? Maybe? It's probably from the 1950s-1970s. The really old carnival glass has more color variations in a single piece.
I'd fill it up until we ate all the candy, then leave it empty until I bought more candy. Looks great both ways.
I love the little dish. I have a pickle dish and a plate of the same glass. Think it is carnival.
I say display it with the chocolates.
I was thinking it was carnival glass as well. If you can find clear marbles maybe the reflection would be just beautiful, and maybe you could put a votive in it
( with a clear holder) At night I think it would be pretty. Lots of reflection.

Everyday is a gift...that's why they call it the present!!!

Hi Linda...I think you should put something sparkley in it!!
I wanted to let you know I featured my safety pin trees on my blog because you inquired about a better look!!
Love,
Robin
Hi again Linda,
The answer to your questions about the cones. They aren't too hard to make, but very time consuming to make all of the little decorative pieces for the cones.
Have a great day!

Lindt truffles are perfect! Love them, and the dish is beautiful as well :)

Why filled of course because I want a piece when I visit. Good job your hubby did. It's very pretty.
I say chocolate too! Or pretty Christmas ornaments. Thanks for taking time to stop by my blog today!
I don't, but it is an unusual shaped dish. Lucky find!
My Favorite Chocolates! I say FULL and then EMPTY!

I have always known this type of glass to be carnival glass. You are so lucky to have the dish and the chocolate. Those chocolates are my favorites. I always get the bag that has white, dark and milk chocolate combined. Have one of the chocolates for me!!
oh i think full, but it wouldnt stay that way long! I would have all those suckers gone in a day!!!
Thank you for the well wishes and prayers for our sweet Little Rori, it means alot!
