Lily

I'd like you to meet the sweetest little dog, this is "Lily". She is a rescue dog, and has brought so much joy to our family. Lily has been part of our family for just a little over a year, she is still shy and very timid but has come a long way.
This picture is from Lily's first camping trip at Fort Bragg this past summer. I was so worried about this trip.....would she like our trailer, would all the people scare her, would she eat and the list goes on and on. I know, I'm a worry wart , but I didn't know what to expect. Well, she had a great time. She made friends with everyone, went on long lovely walk, and had here picture taken so often she thought she was a celebrity.
I have to tell you at home she never gets up on furniture, she has her own bed, in fact three. One in the family room, living room and our bedroom, so for the trip we took one of her small beds so she would feel at home. Guess what? She thought the trailer was her own little place and made herself right at home. Up on the couch to look out the window, took over our bed, and I hate to tell you I even caught her on the table once ( bring on the Lysol ). This was a big no-no, I never saw her up there again, but who knows.
We all had a great time and things are back to normal, no more jumping on the furniture or the.........table. Hope you enjoyed meeting Lily and sharing her first camping adventure.
Wishing you a happy day.......Linda and Lily too

Did you see Sophie Honeysuckle's cat in the frying pan? Sitting on the table is nothing. We have a shih tzu (a little bedroom slipper, basically) so there's no threat of her getting on the table. =)Blessings... Polly

Hello Linda!

I found your blog from a comment left over at Sweet Cottage.

Miss Lily is a doll! We have two rescue puppies, and we love them dearly.

Ours are pugs, Izzy and Lulu. We've had them over a year and we can't break Lulu's terrible habit of getting on the table! We've tried everything. I'm not sure what her first family let her get away with but it's ingrained now!

Enjoy your sweet puppy, she sure looks as though she's enjoying life now with you!

Well hello Miss Lilly - nice to meet you! You look like a very sweet young lady and have quite the cute face, too! What a lucky little lady you are to have such a wonderful family that loves to take you places. Our little Scotty, Mr. Doogs, loves the beach and thinks he is "all that" when out and about..of course, like you, he gets a lot of attention...more than us people do. Welcome to blogland and happy trails to you, sweet girl!

xo,

Becky and Doogs

Good for you for adopting a rescue! Miss Lily is a lucky little girl. We adopted a rescue lab last March. He had issues too but is doing well.

Lily is adorable! I am so glad you rescued her! It is funny you mentioned dog beds. I am currently making a mosaic dog bed out of a vintage doll bed. It is so much fun!

Linda - Lily is so sweet! And, what a lucky, lucky gal she is to have found such a wonderful home. I have a shelter rescue lab mix, Millie, and it has been one of the more rewarding experiences that I have ever had. (I did a post about her labelled "Life with Esther" if you would like to read about her.) You look so lovely and kind, no wonder she loves you! Love, Esther

Lily is so cute! It is amazing how attached we become to our pets. My cats no longer feel like pets, they are truly family.

I really enjoy your pictures.

Thanks for your comments on my blog.
