~ A Sweet Little Weed ~

Hi everyone, I'm taking a little break, I just finished doing a bit of weeding in the front flower bed and the house is cleaned...well actually I think I'm finished working for the day. Anyway, it had rained earlier this morning and I wanted to get to a few weeds while the ground was nice and soft. Look at this pretty little thing...it's so sweet I just couldn't pull it. There was one more little bunch and I left them too, but all the other fellas are gone. Now I'm ready for lunch and a little stitching. Speaking of stitching I did take my two pieces to Michale's for framing....it took me the longest time choosing frames. Selecting the one for Home Sweet Home was fairly easy...but the Love stitchie was a different story. I had my heart set on a green frame, they had a few to choose from but none were the right shade, but I did finally settle on a pretty frame that I liked.....they'll be ready in about 10 days...I can't wait.

Well,~ have a happy weekend...hugs, Linda

That's the best time to weed after a rain. We had a nice shower last night. Like you, I sometimes don't have the heart to pull some weeds!
Can't wait to see your stitchery when the framing is complete.
Hope you are not too sore from all the weeding!

Hi Linda:
I am having a very hard time ready your text. It is yellow for me and very light.
The flower you found is so pretty. Hiding in plain sight for you. It was 80 here today, yeah.

It rained for about a minute last night! We could use some more! I have the same "weeds" in my yard. I call them wild violets and let them stay too. Have a wonderful weekend Linda!

Linda, what a sweet weed. I don't blame you for not pulling it out at all.

I have no weeds growing yet since our snow just left a short while ago but I'm sure it won't be long before I have to go out there and weed as well! lol On Friday on worked on my flowerbeds but it just to remove all the straw I had put on there last Fall and also to break up the ground. My tulips, irises, crocuses and daffodils are all coming up well but as of now, only the crocuses are blooming, the rest will follow shortly.

Can't wait to see pictures of your framed stitchery project!! xoxo

Hi Linda! I am looking forward to seeing your two framed pieces when they are finished. We have flowering wildflowers in our garden at Cranberry Cottage that many would call weeds and pull but not me. I have tons of herb Robert and just have to keep it under control but leave as much as I can. We also have foxgloves which grow as weeds. We adore them but they are not for the fainthearted. They decide where they want to grow ... not you. And I believe you should just let the flower fairies do their work. :-)

Hugs ~

Hi, Linda,
Stopping by to say hello. Sweet little flower -- what is that? Almost looks like a violet.
