~~Christmas Is Coming~~

Hi everyone. Time just got away from me this week....I was away from my computer for two days and I'm so far behind visiting and really behind decorating...but this weekend I'll be catching up with my visits and I hope to get the tree up and finish decorating. I have some some Christmas out......let me show you. Please come in.

On the sofa table is my granma's crystal bowl, filled with greens, little scented pine cones and sugared fruit.
I tend to decorate the same way each year...on either side of the the bowl are Santa pictures. The black and white ones are of me and the colored ones are Lisa. Each time I put these out I always wish I had one of Carl visiting Santa....he remembers visiting Santa but doesn't remember getting his picture taken.
Oh, such sweet memories and how time flies...Lisa is all grown up...but we both still believe.
Part of my Christmas post card collection. I love these little cards. All are stamped and have been date cancelled...the oldest in this grouping is the Victorian girl on the left side...dated 1910. It's from a young girl living in San Francisco, inviting Mrs. Tyler...(her mom's friend) to come and visit her mom for two weeks. I wonder if she did visit.....I hope so.
Well I better get busy...see you soon. Hugs, Linda

Those pictures are great. I have one of me also with Santa at age 5 or 6. Actually now Heidi has it in a scrapbook i did for her of my life.
She wanted the original pictures. I am not sure I am going to put my tree up this year. Some of my Snowmen did escape the attic today.
Have a good time decorating.

Hi Linda, I see you are decorating..I am a little behind, altthough I always put them up before my birthday on the 10th..So we will be busy this week! I love the photos, the one of you as a child with santa looks lovely like a postcard, or christmas card image! I think your outfit is soooo cute too, Thank you for the sweet comments on the halloween photos, we did have a good time..

I like the idea of the santa pictures. I like sharing a little of our decorations at a time. Makes it last longer. Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Linda! I love the Santa pictures and how wonderful that you have them. And your postcard collection is lovely. I'd like to think that Mrs. Tyler went for a visit as well.

I believe in Santa still too Linda! He is real! I love your decorations so far. I too am very behind. I have been doing a little more today. I did nothing but stitch yesterday to try and get a little better.

The old cards are fabulous! I have a set of reproductions and just love them. Real ones are not cheap anymore and hard to find.

Christmas hugs ~
Heidi
