~~Dinner With Friends~~

Good morning and happy Friday. Last night we had dinner with Jan and Mike, our angels and new friends. They are the sweetest couple who came to our aid when we had our major break down on our trip to Loon Lake...you can read about this experience on my August 18th post. They were out collecting elderberries when they happened on us...and look what they brought us last night..................
Elderberry Jelly. Mike made this and we can hardly wait to enjoy it. I was going to make pancakes this morning but got a late start so we had toast instead...........
This looks so yummy........what do you think honey?
He likes it.....thumbs up is a good sign......I have to tell you I had.......
peanut butter and jelly toast and it was delish. Tomorrow pancakes, and you know what...this would be delicious as a topping on vanilla ice cream.

Have a great weekend and if you are traveling be safe....hugs, Linda

Ooh Linda,
It looks so yummy. I can practically taste it! How nice of your angels and new friends. Nice people are the greatest ;)

Bet it would be good on Greek yogurt too, but vanilla ice cream sounds much better and maybe some pine nuts... Hmm, the possibilities are endless!

Happy Labor Day weekend sweetie!

Now I have a member of my family who would love to eat pb/jelly for dinner. :) What nice people they are for not only helping you but also bringing you this treat.

Thanks for your comments on my UFO finish. I am still thrilled it is done for the season. Please do copy the idea for the flower frog. The scissors are so cute in it. I hope you will share a photo of it. I would love to see it.

Hugs ~

Hello Linda...... I was so pleased you stopped by and left a comment for me. I do like the banner you have on your blog, all that lovely crystal and the roses, is that taken in your home I wonder? The banner I have on mine is of our beautiful mountain scenery around our village.

So you live in sunny California..... How wonderful! I’m dreaming of sunny days.... here in Wales we have had so much rain this summer, its been a total washout. At least we enjoyed good weather whilst we were out in Georgia with Betty & Edward, yes, it was really hot there...... however, despite all the rain we’ve had, I’m so thankful that we don’t suffer such weather extremes as so many folk in New Orleans and areas close by.

The elderberry jam that Mike made looks good. Elderberries are just ripening around here, so that’s given me an idea. I’ve made cakes with them in, they are good, the berries burst during the baking and so leave nice tasty red splodges in the cake.

Lovely picture of the four of you. Have a great Labour Day. Marion
