~A Different Memory Board~

Last week while Spring cleaning I washed all my appliances and all the little bits and pieces in my kitchen....I tell you that was a job, and I'm happy to be finished with it. This is my refrig and I love it. Not only is it important for food storage and I love the water and ice feature but it's my bulletin board too. Here is the front with a few of my favorite magnets, pictures of Lisa and a little dog I will never forget......on the right side I keep my shopping list (which hopefully I remember to take with me), appointments cards and important numbers.......but the left side is my favorite.
It's my version of a memory board. I have pictures of near and dear ones, celebrations, friends and memories of times gone by that just make me smile. You can click on any of the pictures for a close up.
The top right picture is Carl's mom and dad on their 50th wedding anniversary, that was such a wonderful celebration, below that is a favorite picture of my mom and dad at the fair...we had wonderful parents and such great times together. Then there are the sidewalk pictures of my grandma and auntie. You can also see Lisa celebrating on her 21st birthday and under that is a picture of me on my first day of school. I loved school but this picture looks like I'm about to cry.
To the left are pictures of my honey. He has always loved to fish and you see one of his proud catches when he was a little boy. He was cute even then. The picture under the Evenrude magnet was on our 25th anniversary, we were on a cruise and it was just so much fun.
The three pictures to the left are of our family in Texas, that's my sister in law in the sun glasses and her sweet husband next to her. Under that is a picture of us girls taken on our visit a couple of years ago(we're going shopping) and under that picture is a picture of her and family...I just love it. To the left are all friends on just fun get togethers. Most of them, have moved to other states, I talk to them often....but I like to keep them close. There is a picture of our houseboat in the delta, which I can hardly wait to get back too and my favorite hummer picture.

I loved sharing my pictures with you.........What do you have on your refrig? Post a picture and let me know. I'll add a link on my blog . Have a happy day.......hugs, Linda

What a great post Linda! I love seeing things on peoples refrigerators. It they make it to being posted on the fridge...then they're important. Love the pictures of your honey with his "catch". Looks like he's a pretty awesome fisherman!

You should challenge everyone to post a picture of whats on their fridge!

Linda, I love your memory board. Not long ago, I found some magnetic picture frames on clearance at Michaels and started a memory board, similar to yours!

Hi, Sweet Linda....first, may I say that I am sooooooo glad you recognized my header as being from a Polly. I took it yesterday, meaning to go back to thank her and to mention her sweetness on my blog but.....I FORGOT WHERE I GOT IT....(remember...I am O.L.D.)so, could you tell me the name of her blog? Many thanks!!

Secondly, you won't believe it but I only have 2 things on the front of my fridge....Only the front is exposed as it sits inside a little indention...everything kept falling off the doors and not having a side to display things on...well...so anyway, now I will have to post my fridge door and ask others to do the same....
Your pictures are amazing!
hugs, bj

I have magnets on my fridge, but no pictures. When Zoe makes pictures for me, I put them on. That is quite a memory board you have. Great pictures.

Nothing is on my fridge, but it is not a design statement. I just have a stainless fridge and it won't accept magnets. The sides are built in to cabinetry so I can even tape stuff up on the side. I feel deprived!

I will say that your fridge looks great and I love the sentiment of it!

Happy day Linda!

Good Afternoon Linda,
I enjoyed your post about your Memory Board. I think that is such a neat idea to have pictures on your fridge. Before I got my new fridge year before last, and our girls were younger, they had all kinds of things on our fridge. They even had stickers on it. LOL. When my DH bought me my new fridge, it's a stainless steel side by side with water and ice thru the door, he said he didn't want it cluttered up like the one we had before. LOL. I do have some pictures of the girls on there tho. Take care my friend and have a great afternoon. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

I like the picture on the header--nice for spring. You sure have a lot of pics on the fridge!! wow. They came out really well too when I clicked on them! I have decluttered my frig--so just one picture and a few notes. I keep some pictures on the inside of the cabinet doors--this way I can look at them , but they are not all over--my kitchen is very small--I didn't want to overpower it ;-)

wow these are great Linda! i love your photos on your fridge, it would definitely make me smile seeing that every day. My fridge is full of Leroy's magnets and his drawings and invitations, it's a total mess and things always go flying off as I walk past, lol!

I love what you have done with your frig! Mine has a calendar and bills, on the side and on the front just one pad of paper for grocery lists. Not fun like yours. I love your banner from Polly, good choice!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for checking in on me

My fridge is covered in children's artwork, wedding announcements, scribbled reminders - ugh it's just messy ugly! BUT when I visit other people's homes and see all the pictures and photos and notes on their fridges I love looking at them. Hmmm... guess I just don't like my own mess. Blessings... Polly
