It's Friday

Good Morning. I can hardly believe it's Friday already, for me the week just flew by. Did yours pass quickly too? I did all the daily things you do around the house, had an eye doctor's appointment and lunch with the Johnson girls. Lunch was so yummy and we had a lot of catching up to do as this was our first get together since Christmas.....and now poof here it's the weekend again. Oh, I should tell you this past week I've had lots of fun creating Valentine pretties and I picked up my cross stitching for the first time since before the holidays. All you wonderful creative crafters and stitchers have inspired me to be more productive...and all I can say is thank you for sparking me to get busy. Do you remember my Home Sweet Home sampler I showed you in October? I was hoping to finish it by Thanksgiving.......well that didn't happen. Here is the picture I posted , I really didn't work on it much after this picture.
I picked it up this past week and started stitching, this is the progress I've made....
It's coming along nicely, but I'm not predicting when it will be finished. All I know is that I'm enjoying myself and I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Do you see my new little sewing basket? I just love it! I found it this past Sunday at the WX Faire, as soon as I saw it I knew it was for me. I've been wanting something to set by my chair to keep my current project in and this is perfect.

Have a happy weekend. Be your own best friend and do something you enjoy. Linda

Good Evening Linda,
I love your Sampler you are cross-stitching. It is going to be beautiful when it is done. It will get done when it get's done. Don't make yourself try to finish it, just do it when you feel the need to. I used to cross-stitch years ago. In fact, I started a quilt top made from block squares that I started on, but never finished it. Hmmmm, I may just have to get it out and start back up on it again. I love your little basket as well. I know you will enjoy it sitting by you and putting your work in it. Sounds like you've had a busy week. Take it easy this weekend my friend. Take care my friend and have a great weekend. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Linda, Have fun with your cross stitching, I also love stitching. I have a fairy cross stitch design I have been working on, which I hoped to finish for last summer but it didnt happen either! I was just thinking this week I should make a start in the hopes for this summer! I look forward to watching your progress on the lovely sampler......

Thank you for visiting my blog. The sampler is so pretty...I used to do cross stitch but now I am more into crochet.

The soup recipe, is that a WW recipe? LOL Can you share your WW experience with me? I'd like to hear if you were successful.
Hugs, DebraK

I wish I had the time to sit and do that. But I can't see the hole in the needle any more with out my glasses! And I can't stand to wear them because they ruin an outfit. Then the thought of putting contacts in my eyes makes me sick to my stomach. But I love the time and the work that goes into those projects! Any time you are on the East Coast you e-mail.me We are going sailing. Dona

I love the sampler,,, I love looking at them but I am NOT a hand stitcher....... I get too bored too quick with one project like that....hahahah but it is beautiful..... I have a sister in law that does that and she has made some beautiful things..

I like your sampler. It will be a treasure for generations to come, much like those wonderful antique samplers that are so beautiful.
I love the way that doing handwork makes me feel. So much of that, comes from the process. I think it's important to take your time, and enjoy that feeling of being centered in the process.

Best wishes!

My goodness Linda, your sampler is coming along nicely. I hope to get my cross stitch out once I get some more of my knitting done. I have so much yarn stashed away that I need to make a serious dent in it before I start anything else.
