Second Sunday Of The Month

Good morning! Happy Monday to everyone. Another weekend has come and gone, did you have a nice one? I hope so. The WX Peddlers Faire is always the second Sunday of each month...rain or shine. Well, we have been having so much rain the past week and a half, I've had my fingers crossed for days, wishing for nicer weather, and it worked. No rain, but very foggy. I love the fog so that was fine with me. We met our good friends very early...it was still dark and for about a half an hour we needed our flashlights. This didn't slow us down and we just shopped away. This month there were less sellers (I think because of the weather) but we still found treasures. I found..... this beautiful table runner. It is all hand cross stitched in the sweetest rose pink color and I thought it would be pretty for Valentine's time. I didn't want to wait until February so I put it on the dinning room table, with this cut glass punchbowl that was my Grandmother's. I think they look lovely together. Here are most of my other finds................... Just some little items I'll add to my collections. After all the shopping we went to our favorite breakfast spot. They are still serving their yummy pumpkin pancakes, Mmmm, they were delish.

My DH goes to a little flea market every Saturday and look what he found......I'm crazy over green and just love depression glass. There are eleven salad plates and they are in very nice condition...........
Thank you honey...you are always thinking of me.

I've been tagged by Michelle at Cottage Home. I'm to share 7 unusual/weird facts abouts myself. I love reading tags but I'm having a hard time coming up with 7 facts to share. But here goes:

1. ~ Love unusual smells: gasoline, paint and my favorite skunk:).
2. ~ I don't like to wear tennis shoes.
3. ~ I have to sleep with a small light on.
4. ~ Ate white school paste.
5. ~ Love tripe...yum.
6. ~ Have to wear lipstick...or else I can't function.
7. ~ Love toe rings....have worn one for over 30 years.

I'm inviting anyone who would like to post 7 unusual/weird things about them self to do so........it's really fun and not painful at all.

Have a great day, do something nice for yourself and enjoy.......Linda

Good Morning Linda,
I love the new look you have put on your blog. You did a great job. I love the runner you found. It is beautiful and looks good on your table. I also love the Green Depression plates your husband got you. I had an Aunt that used to collect the Pink Depression pieces. She had a whole lot of them. When she died back in 1980, my Mom got some of the pieces she had. I love all of your other finds you got as well. "THANK YOU" for sharing your Treasures with us. I sure enjoyed looking at them. I enjoyed reading your Meme. I did this one right before Christmas. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Linda I love your weird things list!

Re: Mimi's post; The nearest Mimi's is about 40 miles from home. We have to pass by, when we go to the doctor. We have an appt FEB 2 and you can bet we'll try to stop by for lunch! Love that place. We meet our family there for breakfast, every so often.

Wow, you found some nice new treasures. How sweet of hubby to always be thinking of buying things for you! I'm with you on the lipstick... I have to have it. One time at work, a new girl didn't know my name when she was speaking of me to someone else. She said "you know, the girl who is always putting on lipstick!" LOL I didn't even realize I put it on that much!

Linda,
I like the new picture on your blog. I have to tell you last night, Allee looked at the old picture and said (in her sweet little two-year old voice) "Mommy, I go in there - it's snowing." Then she held her hands out toward the computer. Made my heart sing!

I love Green Depression glass, too.
Cheers,
Dee Dee

Great look, Linda! I like your "finds". I am starting to collect so much it's getting out of hand. Your 7 unusual things are unusual. Skunk? I remember kids eating paste in elementary school. They were fined for it! I, also, need to wear lipstick. Feel naked without it.

What great finds! The runner is so nice for Valentine's Day. I liked the hobnail piece. My grandmother had a pair of them on her dresser. It reminded me of her.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for leaving your sweet anniversary greetings. We had a lovely dinner out together last night.
