~Hot Tea For Me~

Good morning everyone. This is the morning sky looking to the west from my front porch. I love this photo of the moon setting. For about the last week I've been taking pictures of the sky and just wanted to share the beginnings of a beautiful day with each of you. Did you know that January is National Hot Tea Month? Isn't that the neatest? Are you a tea drinker or do you prefer coffee? Actually I love both. Morning's I'll have one or the other and at dinner I usually have coffee. I think my love for tea began when I was very young. First, I had make believe tea parties with my dolls and as I grew older I would always share afternoon tea with my Gramma.
Beside enjoying tea I love books about tea too. These books are filled with all the information you would ever want to know about tea, tea celebrations and yummy recipes too.
This little tea pot is a favorite...I love roses and when I saw it I knew it had to come home with me.
The tea cups are treasures from my Morro Bay trip......except the yellow rose one. I bought it for a gift but when I got it home I found a small chip so I decided to keep it. It is still very pretty chip and all.
Well I think my tea is ready. This morning I'm having English Breakfast, one of the tea's from my swap partner. Add a touch of milk and a swish of the honey stick......Mmmm, delish.

Have a happy weekend......take a moment for yourself and enjoy a lovely cup of hot tea...you'll be glad you did. Linda

Good Afternoon Linda,
Well, I'm more of a coffee drinker myself. My DH got me started on it several years ago. I had seen that January was National Tea Month over at Mary's Writing Nook yesterday. I didn't know it till then tho. I think I may try the Green Tea that Mary told about. I love your Tea set. That is just so beautiful as well as your Tea Cup. "THANK YOU" for sharing them with us. I love the picture of the Moon as well. I will be so glad when I can get me a digital camera to take better pictures with. Hopefully after we get all straightened out with our finances, I can get one. Take care my friend and have a great day. Enjoy your Tea. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

That's a lovely rose teapot!
I enjoy hot tea, particularly when I am not feeling well, because my mom used to make it for me when I was sick.

I hope you enjoyed your tea Linda. I usually drink a cup or two every night before I go to bed. It seems to soothe me to sleep.

Mmmm, Linda, that sounds like good advice. I love tea and coffee. My favorite tea is Earl Grey:)

I love your collection of tea cups and your pretty tea pot...very feminine.

To answer your question about the meat loaf. I just use beef, usually the lean ground beef so it is not quite so fatty.

Have a great weekend, enjoy your tea:)

Hi Linda....thanks for stopping by my sight....I love your sight and if you don't mind I'm going to add you to my favorites list....

Your morning sky is gorgeous....I love taking pictures of skys....I have made note cards out of them.. I didn't know that Jan. was National Hot tea month....imagine that, my kitchen and family room is a tea room....I collect antique tea strainers, and some antique teapots....but I never knew that it had a special day....shows you I should read more about tea... I usually start out with one cup of tea, always loose, and then end with coffee....I probably drink more coffee than I should... I did post pictures of my tea rooms on my blog a while ago....I don't remember what month....but anyway I enjoyed the visit, and don't forget to stop back.....judy

I never knew there was a tea month. It is rare that I drink it hot, I prefer cold. I do love teapots and cups and saucers. Lipton use to make my favorite tea. It was called blackberry, but it tasted like tea with butterscotch candy. It was delish and I loved it hot. The next time I have a cup of tea I will think of you.

Take care
Teresa

Hi, again, friend...just stopping by to thank you for coming by my place and to tell you that there is no recipe for this LAZY LADY Frito Pie....just a layer of fritos, chopped onions, lettuce, tomatoes, hot chili on top of all this (wilts the lettuce and tomatoes but so good) and then a layer of grated cheese (if you eat cheese, that is)....
hugs, bj

I love a good cup of tea and of course I love coffee too...can't seem to start my morning without it.

Did you participate in a Tea Swap? Since it's National Tea Month I think it would be a fun thing!

What a beautiful sunrise. My favorite part of the day is when all is quiet, the sun is just starting to peek out, DH and little one are still asleep, and I've just poured that FIRST cup of coffee, right off the top of the pot! Ahhh...deep breath.
I do love hot tea and iced tea also (I am a southern gal after all). Celestial Seasonings has a fairly new (new to me anyway) variety called Madagascar Vanilla -absolutely divine!
Cheers!

I am definitely a tea drinker. I don't like coffee at all. My favorite is Earl Grey, but English Breakfast is good, too. I have a small collection of tea pots, but usually just use a tea bag in a cup.

I have a great book for you to read. It's called IDA MAE TUTWEILER AND THE TRAVELING TEA PARTY by Ginnie Siena Bivona. About a mother and daughter who open a tea room - includes recipes too. One of my favorite books.

During January Gracious Hospitality, Yellow Rose Arbor and my Oak Rise Cottage blogs each made several tea-related posts in celebration of Hot Tea Month. Thanks for sharing your lovely tea items. I did a post on my tea books which include one or two you have pictured.
