Lily

I'd like you to meet the sweetest little dog, this is "Lily". She is a rescue dog, and has brought so much joy to our family. Lily has been part of our family for just a little over a year, she is still shy and very timid but has come a long way.
This picture is from Lily's first camping trip at Fort Bragg this past summer. I was so worried about this trip.....would she like our trailer, would all the people scare her, would she eat and the list goes on and on. I know, I'm a worry wart , but I didn't know what to expect. Well, she had a great time. She made friends with everyone, went on long lovely walk, and had here picture taken so often she thought she was a celebrity.
I have to tell you at home she never gets up on furniture, she has her own bed, in fact three. One in the family room, living room and our bedroom, so for the trip we took one of her small beds so she would feel at home. Guess what? She thought the trailer was her own little place and made herself right at home. Up on the couch to look out the window, took over our bed, and I hate to tell you I even caught her on the table once ( bring on the Lysol ). This was a big no-no, I never saw her up there again, but who knows.
We all had a great time and things are back to normal, no more jumping on the furniture or the.........table. Hope you enjoyed meeting Lily and sharing her first camping adventure.
Wishing you a happy day.......Linda and Lily too

Hummers

Isn't this the sweetest little girl? Yes, it's a girl, her coloring is very subtle, I don't think you can tell from the picture but her body is a soft taupe and she has blue and green on her back and neck.....she is very pretty. I love to sit outside and just watch these little guys for hours, in fact I have, they make me happy. Sometimes you can hear them before you see them they make the neatest sound it's kinda of a "ch-cht" chirp. They are such acrobats too, flying forward, backward, hovering in place, and upside down! Amazing.
I took this picture while sitting on the swing, I had to bend over backwards and almost tipped myself over, what a picture that would make.

Have a happy day. Linda

Fall

It's time for me to take a break. I'm pooped out and it's not even noon. I decided to trim my roses (not prune) and pick some for the house. What a job! I love this rose, it is named Secret and blooms like crazy. It has the sweetest fragrance and it's my all time favorite. I always try to have one on my night stand but this bouquet is in a lovely pink depression glass vase on the living room hutch. This is a very special vase for me, it was a just because gift from hubby.....he is a sweetie.

Have a sweet day and remember to smell the roses......Linda

FALL

I think Mother Nature had a tummy ache yesterday. The weather was more like winter, cloudy with a smattering of rain. Today she's got it right ! It's sunny, cool and crisp a perfect fall day. I started my walking program this morning with a short walk in the park by me. The leaves are turning color and there is the neatest crunching sound as you walk, but winter is my most favorite time of year for walking. I love, love, love the fog. Look at these sweet little acorns I found on my walk. I think they are acorns... anyway it was a great way to start the day. Wishing you a great fall day too. Linda

Morro Bay Trip

Saturday took us to Cambria about 20 miles north of Morro Bay. We poked around here for awhile and then had a delicious Royal Tea at The Tea Cozy. This sweet tea parlor is housed in a historic cottage built in 1890 and is decorated with the most beautiful antiques. We were served the most yummy sandwiches, scones and cakes. It was a wonderful day.
Tomorrow we are going beaching and then home Monday. We had such fun with lots of happy memories hope you enjoyed too. Linda

Morrro Bay Trip

Friday we visited the sweetest little town of Arroyo Grande.. Lots of neat shops and Susan Branch the author/artist has a lovely shop here, Heart of the Home. It's a mix of new and vintage. If you are ever in this area take the time to visit it. After breakfast on to Solvang........come along, Linda

Morro Bay Trip

From Arroyo Grande we drove to Solvang the Danish Capital of America. Beautiful old world architecture, lots of wonderful trees and lovely flowers it was as if we had been transported to a quaint little town in Europe.

Shops and more shops and we did find two wonderful needle work shops. Lisa and I both found lots to add to our xstitch stash.. After all the shopping we had a yummy Danish and then back to Morro Bay for dinner at Dorn's. Saturday is Cambria..............

Morro Bay Trip

Our Morro Bay get-a-way was great! The weather was perfect , the days were sunny with just a light breeze. We stayed at the Blue Sail Inn, loved it here. From our balcony we had a beautiful view of the bay and wharf plus all the little shops. It was so nice to just sit out there and enjoy all the scenery. We took side trips, shopped and ate such delicious food......couldn't ask for more.

Moro Bay Trip

Fish and Chips from the Hof Brau on the wharf were super. No counting calories here. Our favorite dinner spot was Dorn's a pretty restaurant with a wonderful view of the bay and the sunsets were awesome. The chowder here is to live for. To be continued.......

W-X Fair

My tootsies are sure tired but happy. The W-X Peddlers Fair was great. Weather perfect a bit cool this morning but by noon it was just right. Not too cool - not too hot.
Lots of goodies. Here are some of my treasures and I will share more in days to come.

W-X Fair

One of the vendors asked "where's your man?" Here he is and me too. He even found a nice fishing reel. Pretty nifty don't ya think?

Celebrate

Time to celebrate! I've established my blog and this is my first entry. It's very exciting but I'm a little nervous too. I find setting the VCR a challenge so this is a very big step for me but here I go.........

Tomorrow is the 2nd Sunday monthly Peddlers Fair here in Sacramento. It's held rain or shine outside in two huge parking lots under the freeway. Yes, I know I did say the the freeway. There are over 250 booths with many wonderful antiques, collectibles and lots of little odds and ends. There is truly something for everyone.

We'll be starting out bright and early tomorrow and I hope I find a little treasure to share with you.

Enjoy your day whatever you do........Linda
