~ A Wild Weather Weekend ~

Hi everyone, the weekend is nearly here and we are having some wild, wild, weather here. It has been raining pots and pans and we might even get a touch of snow...now that would be amazing since the elevation here is 25...but I would love it. Usually we like to do a bit of running around on the weekend but this weekend I think we'll just be staying in and keeping warm and cozy. If that's the case, I'll be working on a couple of sweet stitchies of the Sampler Girl's.One is the "Queen of Hearts" and I'll be finishing her as a pincushion and the other is a fun Irish Cupboard Sampler.......plus
I'm reading an excellent book, The Forgotten Garden....it is so good I can hardly put it down and the latest......
edition of Southern Lady just arrived...it is one of the prettiest magazine, full of wonderful recipes and Southern charm...I love it. So I think I'm set for whatever Mother Nature sends my way......you have a cozy weekend too...hugs, Linda

Hi Linda,

Great post today...especially about the book you're reading...the cover intrigues me...will look for a copy tomorrow...I do love a good suspense, mystery Detective book...you're got me thinking to try a new author...thanks:)

Just relaxing and enjoying your weekend with family sounds wonderful to me...and I am antsy to begin a new Stitching project myself...I am about half way finished with Sampler Girl's Over the River and Through the Woods...and I will make myself "finish" it before starting a new one.
Take care,
~Gail

We had tornado & severe thunderstorm warnings last even which didn't end until after 11 PM...winds of 60Mph in places...not too bad here at my house, though..it is the beginning of tornado season..we have one in Spring and Fall....today it was in the 40s but is supposed to be 20 degrees warmer tomorrow.
Honey bear and I are off on a road trip tomorrow morning to a heirloom nursery in the middle of our state and will spend the night nearby returning on Sunday.
I'm getting ready to start new stitcheries for the SAL group.
I love Southern Lady...it is a beautiful magazine..just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Oh dear, I do hope the weather doesn't end up being too nasty but if it is, you are certainly all set for a cozy weekend:-) We're supposed to have sunny skies but cold temps. The auction on Sunday is about the only thing I have planned anyway!! xox

Pots and Pans. I've never heard that expression before but it fits with today's weather!
Glad to see the sun.

Hi there - I found your blog via Daffycat's TUSAL post this month.

I'm intrigued about the book, too - I've added it to my goodreads and will take a peek at the library to see if its available.

Happy stitching!
