~A Bowl Of Fall and Cookies~

I think Fall has finally arrived. The evenings are cool and crisp and the days are bright and sunny. On Monday I had a dentist appointed ( my check up was great). In front of his office there is a beautiful old tree. These mini cones are from it...they are so delicate. I have no idea what kind of tree these are from...do you? Anyway, I gathered a hand full of cones and some leaves too, and this is my little bowl of Fall...courtesy of Mother Nature. As soon as the weather turns fallish I think of comfort foods and baking. I love to bake and today I made these simple but delish cookies......

I know I've shared this recipe...but just in case you haven't seen it, here it is again...

Just three ingredients....

Mix by hand.....and then place on a cookie sheet ( I like to use parchment paper on my cookie sheets)...I use a generous teaspoon full, but you can make them just about any size. Gently flatten with a fork tine dipped in sugar.

Bake and Enjoy. This is BJ's recipe at Sweet Nothings and I love it. Each time I make these I say thank you to her. hugs, Linda

Growing up, our neighbor lived in a Civil war era house and she had one of these trees with the tiny cones. One year for Christmas I hot glued the little cones on to a mini Christmas tree! Thank you for the easy cookie recipe. I bet they are yummy and will make the house smell great!

Pine cones ALWAYS remind me of Christmas as my mum would decorate with them when we didn't have the money for expensive decorations

I'm wondering if maybe blogger has removed your blog from my following list as I missed the Halloween post.

I'm going to try those cookies.

Be sure and answer each days question for the give away.

No, I haven't started a new cross stitch and I really need to so I don't munch so much in the evenings. I have one, I just need to tape the edges and find the starting point. I'm in the process of making valances for my family room.
I think that might be a Hemlock tree.

Okay Linda, did you forget to show us the back of the recipe card????? Do these really come out looking like those beauties you show on the photo? I think I have to try this as it is just impossible to think it would work.

Dentist? Y*U*K! I have to go back to the oral surgeon on November 30th and am not looking forward to it. I am a big chicken when it comes to dentists. I updated my TCC blog about my health right now.

Hugs ~

I bet the house smelled wonderful while the cookies were baking. I love tiny pinecones, but all I ever seem to find are the big ones.

God bless.

Yumm, they look great!

I have seen little cones like that, too, but don't know what kind of tree they're from. Cute idea for the bowl!
