~ A Sweet Little Weed ~
Hi everyone, I'm taking a little break, I just finished doing a bit of weeding in the front flower bed and the house is cleaned...well actually I think I'm finished working for the day. Anyway, it had rained earlier this morning and I wanted to get to a few weeds while the ground was nice and soft. Look at this pretty little thing...it's so sweet I just couldn't pull it. There was one more little bunch and I left them too, but all the other fellas are gone. Now I'm ready for lunch and a little stitching. Speaking of stitching I did take my two pieces to Michale's for framing....it took me the longest time choosing frames. Selecting the one for Home Sweet Home was fairly easy...but the Love stitchie was a different story. I had my heart set on a green frame, they had a few to choose from but none were the right shade, but I did finally settle on a pretty frame that I liked.....they'll be ready in about 10 days...I can't wait.
Well,~ have a happy weekend...hugs, Linda

~ A Pretty Stitch ~
Good morning everyone. Thank you for all the sweet comments and well wishes for our anniversary....we did have a happy day.
How pretty is this framed piece? This is Carolyn's (my SIL) stitchie, it's the second piece our stitching group did.
She just got it back from the framers and sent me this picture. Oh, such nice work and I think the green frame she used is perfect. I love it. I'm off to Michale's today...

~ Today Is Our Anniversary ~
Today we are celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary. The old saying time flies is so very true, I can't believe how quickly the years have past. The picture on the right is at our reception and I crossed stitched the piece on the left in celebration of our special day. Not sure what we're doing today but tonight we will be going to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. I'm looking forward to a happy day and many more years together. Hugs, and happy days to you too...Linda

~ Happy Birthday Lily ~
Happy Birthday Lily. This is Lily, our loving shelter dog we adopted three years ago. When we adopted her it was estimated she was about four years old, but I think of this as being her third birthday since it's been three years since she got her second chance. She is a sweetie pie, a loving girl and wonderful companion...we are so happy to have found her.....Linda

~ Easter Dinner ~
We had a wonderful Easter...hope you did too. The kitchen is tidy and the dishwasher is humming away and I'm just about to have a cup of tea and an Easter cookie. We had a yummy dinner....we always have lamb on Easter and all our favorite dishes. I just found this pressed glass footed bowl and I love it for a salad bowl.

I'm helping the bunny with his eggs and baking more Easter cookies. These little chicks are on my kitchen window sill and are keeping me company while I'm baking.

They all have 1cent stamps, with a cancellation date of 1910 or 1911......so they are truly vintage. Feel free to copy (I hope you do) and enjoy. Just right click on the picture, copy and then right click again and paste in your pictures.

~Peep, Peep, Peep, To You~
Happy Friday everyone. Do you realize Easter is nearly here? I know, I can hardly believe it either. I have been doing a little decorating...on my dinning room table......... is my Granma's cut glass bowl with old paper eggs. I've been collecting them for a long time...they were made in Western Germany and kind of hard to find.
I love the art work, the images are really sweet. My favorite is the black egg. Which one do you like?
This little egg and the one below are See's candy containers from a couple of years ago...they still make these.
Someday, (maybe) they'll be hard to find. I thought the little chicks looked cute tucked inside these eggs. Just this past year I started collecting chicks....some our new and some are older.
Peep, peep, peep, peep, have a happy weekend...hugs, Linda
