Today we are visiting Cambria, a little town 20 miles north of Morro Bay. Cambria is a short drive inland from Highway 101. No fog here, a bright and sunny day. We visited a couple little antique shops and then headed to one of our favorite places for tea, The Tea Cozy. This tea room is housed in the sweetest little 100 year old cottage. Not only do they serve traditional teas and light lunches, they also have a nice selection of English groceries.....teas, cookies, candies, jams and sauces. We are having the Royal Tea today. There are over twenty tea selections but we are having a standard... Earl Grey.
Add a touch of cream and a lump of sugar......so good. I've always adored Blue Willow China. I must be a romantic because I love the sweet myth depicted on the plate~~~that of the star crossed lovers who were turned into immortal love birds......reminds me of something from Shakespeare.
This is the Royal Tea...a selection of sweets and savories. Lisa and I have a little ritual, we takes turns choosing what sandwich or scone to eat.....the sweets we save for last.
One last little cup of tea and then a little shopping. This was a favorite little shop......The Feathered Nest........
Love the window display. The nest has wonderful little antiques, pretty Fall items and fun Halloween goodies. We found a couple of little treasures I'll share another time.
Time to head back to the Inn. On our way we're stopping at the Cotton Ball. This is a wonderful quilt and knitting shop. We brought our knitting needles and hope to find some pretty yarn for scarfs......hope you enjoyed the day....hugs, Linda

I love Earl Grey tea, but no cream, just sugar in mine please.
I have had high teas. Heidi mades wonderful Scones. I love the sign the witch is in. I need that. I have a witch hanging on my door. She has a green face.
I think your trip seems so great. It looks like a fun place visit.

I wish I could have come with you - it looks like a perfect day out!
Fun trip, Linda.
I love Earl Grey with milk and sugar. All other tea I drink plain or with a little lemon.
My mum has a lot of blue willow china, she loves it too.

Yum, the sandwiches and dainties look almost too good to eat. Have fun on your trip and remember to squeeze all the lovely yarns (my favorite thing to do in a yarn shop).
God bless.
Hi Linda!
Oh I LOVE going to a tea house and having all the goodies! It's so much fun and the tea rooms are always so interesting. Looks like you had a wonderful time! I'll be by to go with your next time.
Hugs, Sherry
I just love Earl Grey! It is so fun to go somewhere and have a real tea. I also love the romance of the Blue Willow pattern. The poem of the Legend of Blue Willow is in my blog archives. Have you ever read it?
Hugs ~

Again, this is just my "cup of tea". I tend to go with the bolder teas myself because of the loss of a sense of smell. Some of the specialty ones are like drinking water for me. Earl Greay is a favorite as is English Breakfast. I love to go to these special teas. I attended one on the 10th with some friends from my women's club. Forgot my camera! Someone made pictures of each of us in our hats. Maybe they will share.
I'm so happy you're having fun on this trip with your friend.
