~~A Bit Of This And That~~

Hi, Hi....hope you all had a nice day. Each morning I love to enjoy my coffee sitting on the patio and watch the hummers that visit our feeder. They just fascinate me, I have more fun snapping pictures of them. I took these this morning. I thought catching their shadow was so cool......
Oh, one more thing. Last night was our stitch night. We are right on track and will finish the first part of October.......just in time to frame our piece and have it ready for Halloween. This is my first Blackbird Design and I can hardly wait to see it finished and in the prefect frame. I hope to finish my Home Sweet Home stitchie at about the same time. I'll share that piece soon. Have a great day tomorrow..hugs, Linda

That is a great shot. I wish I could capture the little hummers. I do get mockingbirds though.
They love my herbs on the back porch.

We have more hummingbirds at the lake than we do here. We're going there, tomorrow evening. I imagine they've migrated by now, though. Usually mid September they move south.

I love the shadow shot!

I loved the photo of the Hummers. We watch them from the kitchen table here.
This stitchy looks like something I might be able to do. Do you have a source for the pattern.

You certainly did get a great shot of the hummingbird's shadow, how neat!! The last time we saw hummers here was last week so I think they're now gone south for the winter. With the frosty mornings we've had, I was surprised they stayed as long as they did.

Can't wait to see your stitching projects all finished...it will look fabulous! xoxo

Hi Linda! I love your BD Design piece. I have a friend that is just batty over BD. She does them all. I have never done one yet but have a few in my stash. Problem is I have so much stash but we won't go there. LOL! What a great thing to be able to sit on your porch and watch the hummingbirds. I love watching birds at Cranberry Cottage. We have a woodpecker who visits us but we have to be inside as they are very shy birds.

You are right about my mother being a sweetheart! She made the ornaments a couple of years ago after getting her embroidery machine and the tree is all her ornaments except a box of ceramic pumpkins I found in a shop. For my mother and I, Halloween is very special because it is the favorite holiday of my sister. It makes us feel extra connected to her on that day if you can understand what I mean.

Did you ever find the Blue Willow poem?

Hugs ~
Heidi

I love, love love the shadow shot. There's a group of bloggers that do a Shadow Shot Friday or Saturday (can't remember which). You really should put that photo up for all to see.
