~~Saturday Chatter~~

Oh my goodness, it's so early to be up on a Saturday morning, but I am . I'm enjoying a delicious cup of coffee in my new favorite mug and reading the best book. Do you see my new mug? It's all the way from Kansas...love the beautiful sunflowers. My friend Michelle was visiting her parents and this is one of the treats she brought me. I love it. I mentioned I was reading a great book, well I don't know if this is ESP, just a coincident or what.......but the book I'm reading is set in...... Kansas! Is that cool or what? Maybe it's just me but I think it's kinda of quirky. The Persian Pickle Club is such a good book. Like I said, it's set in Kansas during Depression times. It's a story of friendships that bind
women together through good times and bad times. I'm nearly finished with this book...and I really don't want it to end. I feel like I know these women and want their story to continue. Have you ever felt that way about a book?
I just took a quick break to feed a little stray kitty cat and my hummers were just zooming all over the yard....I dashed in the house for my camera and look at this little fellow I captured sitting on the phone line. If you click on the picture you can really see him. I think it is funny they just love to sit on the line...maybe they are calling a friend.

I know this is kind of a chatty post...maybe it's the caffeine..but I'm nearly finished.

What a "happy" mug.
That little hummer is a cutie. I haven't seen any around here lately, and it's a bit a downer as they are one of my fave little birds. In March, when my jasmine "bush" is blooming, the hummers are all around. I enjoy watching them.
Congrats on your award. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and thank you for stopping by and visiting me. I love making new friends, so don't stay away to long.
I'm going to go check out the info on that book now...Amazon here I come!
Cheers!

So, what did you think of Mamma Mia? I thought it was a lot of fun - and so did most of the people in the theater with me. Picked up the soundtrack while in store getting my new cd player but as the cd player hasn't been installed yet the cd hasn't been unwrapped!

Hey Linda! Just reading my emails and read your comment on Mamma Mia. Wasn't it fun? Just as well I went by myself - I don't think hubby would have liked it and I would still be listening to him moan about having to go!

Linda I have always asked this Q.:
why do birds sit on wires. In the coldest winter days one sees numerous
flocks of birds sitting on a wire? Why?
That lone bird on the wire better get home to his resting place or is it lost? I'm full of Questions tonight!

Hi Linda,
