The Johnson Girls and a Surprise

Hi everyone! Have you had a busy day? So many of you are doing Spring cleaning the bug bit me today too. My bedroom is finished and nearly all the kitchen and now I'm taking a well deserved break. Earlier this week was our Johnson Girl's get together (this is my name for our group...all friends from high school). We met for lunch at a beautiful new restaurant called Scott's Seafood On The River. You have a wonderful view of the river and can enjoy all the action on the river as you dine. The food is absolutely delish and the service is outstanding. Here we are.......look how we've grown. Originally there were three of us and then by word of mouth we re-connected with more of our former classmates. Let me introduce you... Starting on the left and going around the table is Jeannie, Janet, Judy, Janice, Ann, Marcia, Me, and Susan. One friend Sharon is missing today. You can click on any of the pictures to see better. The waiter had just served our lunch and we were ooooing and aaaahing over how yummy everything looked. It was great seeing everyone and hearing their latest news.
Look what sweet Jeannie brought for me. Three of the most darling hats that had been her mom's. This is so precious, the palest of pink and don't you just love the bow?
This one is lovely with leaves and flowers and can you see the beautiful green veil? I love hats with veils...I think they make you appear very mysterious.
This one is so light and airy...a purple veil and velveteen ribbon. Simple but charming. We're having a tea party in May and I know we'll be wearing these darlings. Thank you Jeanie...these are treasure and I love them.

Here is a surprise I also wanted to share. This is from my friend Priscilla in England. Look at the Easter treats! Isn't that the cutest towel ...my favorite color and how cute of a design Time for Tea, lovely mint tea, delicious candy eggs (I opened right away), hot chocolate drink mixes, Outrageous Orange was so yummy, and look at the darling whisk. I used it Easter morning to whisk up eggs for french toast. When I was using it I thought of Priscilla, and her mum and dad and wondered what they were doing as I was fixing breakfast. Do you ever do that? Look at a picture or a gift someone has given you...and think of them, I do it all the time.
Little things just mean so much. Who would have thought in just eight short months I would have met so many wonderful friends blogging. I do think of you as friends and our blogs are like a telephone connection to each other. I have more fun visiting each of you. Well I'd better go now...have a happy weekend and I'll be chatting with you soon. Hugs, Linda

I'm now in a different state (FL) but we have our 50th Class Reunion in May, and I'm going! We are also going to a tea room two days before the reunion! Fun!

Your gifts from England is wonderful. I love their chocolate.
Your hat gift is a treasure. The picture is great. We had a class reunion (50) last June. The next day I put together a lunch at a local rest. of our grade school friends. We had 22 there and it was so much fun. Everyone wants to do it again, so I will try to get it organized again when I get back from Holland. Thanks for your nice comments on my blog.

Hi Linda, You said you have been married for 40 some years? You look so young in the photo. That's so special that friends from high school still get together. That was so nice of your friend to give you hats and for Priscilla to send you a goodie box. xo Lynn

Linda, your "class reunion" of the Johnson Girls looks like loads of fun...and the food looks mighty yummy too! My 40th high school class reunion is this summer and I haven't quite decided if I'll fly back home to attend.

Love all the great hats...I think the veils are so pretty.

What a nice Easter surprise from Priscilla. I always think of the person when I see or use something they gave me.

Good Evening Linda,
I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with the Johnson Girls. It's so neat that yall still keep in touch with each other after graduating from School. I couldn't begin to tell you where most of my classmates are at now. Some of them still live in my hometown, but alot of them have moved off. The Tea Party coming up sounds like so much fun. I have never been to a Tea Party before. I love all the gifts you recieved from Priscilla. I do love the wisk the best. It is just cute and I've never seen one like it before. The hats are just so beautiful. Tis been a long, long time since I've seen any like that. The colors are just so Spring looking and I know you will enjoy wearing them. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Linda,
How wonderful that you and your high school friends get together. I love that you named the group too! I went to a funeral on Sat. and met a friend there that I hadn't seen in many years. We talked about how sad it is that we met up again at a funeral. She said she would come by and see me and try to stay in touch.

Hugs,
Hope
