~ An October Get Away ~

Hi everyone. Have you been decorating for fall? I haven't had..... much time to set things out, I've been trying to get ready for another get away. This is about all I have out in the way of fall decor. I found this sweet little pumpkin while on vacation with Lisa. It's from a favorite shop in Cambria...the Feathered Nest. I really like the crushed velvet and love, love the vintage green beads. I'm going to be gone until mid October so I'll probably just decorate for Thanksgiving and then Christmas...this year has just flown......I can't believe the holidays will soon be here. Can you? I hope I get a chance to visit before I leave, but if I don't take care, and I'll see you towards the end of October....hugs, Linda

~ More From Morro Bay ~

Main Street , Morro Bay is filled with the sweetest shops. In....front of each shop and along the sidewalks there are planters and flowers beds filled with gorgeous flowers...you can't help but smile when you see how pretty everything looks. We spent the day visiting the shops, antique stores and some really neat thrift stores. Then we pampered ourselves with a manicure and pedicure......that was a treat. Saturday evening is market night on Main Street......
Wonderful fruits and veggies.....we bought some small red grapes.....delish.
Look at these beautiful little eggs...it's hard to believe thy are real..too pretty to use.

Wonderful homemade items...I love these soaps. Lots of pretty, pretty...
flowers and plants. These sunflowers were just some of the amazing blooms we saw.....time to head for dinner now....tomorrow is another busy day...hugs, Linda

~ Back From Vacation ~

Hi everyone! We're back from Morro Bay and had a great time. We had perfect coastal weather, a bit of fog each morning and then shortly after noon the sun would break through. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather. We are........ getting close. There is Morro Rock and look at the beautiful ocean.......can hardly wait to beach walk....but first we have to settle in. We always stay at the Blue Sail Inn. The...
view from our balcony is just wonderful. It's fun to just......
sit and watch the world go by, read or stitch. Well for now we are all checked in, and are going to walk to the Hof Brau on the wharf for the best fish and chips ever. Yummy!

I'm a little late in sharing my TU SAL jar for September but here it is. I did a little Halloween stitching while vacationing.........
so most of my orts (scraps of thread) that I added are orange and black, but I do see other colors too.
Well, more from Morro Bay soon.....hugs, Linda

~ Heading To Morro Bay ~

Hi everyone! Lisa and I are heading to Morro Bay bright and early tomorrow morning.....We both love the coast and this little place is a bit of heaven on earth. This is our third year for visiting Morro Bay, our first trip was in 2007 to celebrate my 5Th year of being cancer free......I think I see a tradition here. Everything is packed.......

We have our trusty little map...and all we need to do is grab our keys and purse and away we go. See you in a week...hugs and wishes for a happy week to you. Linda

~ Framed ~

I was so happy yesterday, Michaels called and said my two stitches that I had left for framing were ready..... I'm really pleased with the way they turned out and I'm especially happy with the frames. I'm not sure where I'll be hanging them, for now I've put them on easels. I've put Bless Our Home on the sidecar, mixed in with the moonstone glassware and....

Yule Sampler is on a small chest in the Christmas corner......I kind of like it here, maybe this is where it'll stay. Have a happy holiday weekend, hugs, Linda
