Good morning. Today is the 4Th day of our new year and........ it's a wonderful foggy day. I know lots of people do not like fog but I love it! This is a picture of the little park just four houses away from me. With all the fog it's a perfect day to stay in and finish taking down the tree...that's my last little bit of Christmas to finish tucking away and I will be so glad when I'm finished. Then I going to make a little pot of tea.....

Well, my Christmas tree is still together...my granddaughter came over to stay while her Mother went to a meeting. Of course, I wasn't here but I was hoping to come home and see all the ornaments removed...I'm not stressing over it, though.
I wrote down the books you showed. Our book club meets on Friday to choose books for the year and I will mention the Austen Book for sure.
I don't mind the fog if we're not driving in it.
I had a lovely time with my friend. We went to a steak place and both had Grilled Salmon Salad...she had a coupon so we each got $1.50 off our entre. I could have had my steak but that seemed like to much for lunch....then we went to look for her some new cookware. We both decided on a Cuisinart set that had a pasta pot with an insert...I got another set of pillowcases for my red sheets on sale for 11.99 and some sliders for the cabinet in my sewing room.
I really need to start some hand work.

I love foggy days too when I have plenty to keep me busy indoors. I also love a cup of hot tea after I have finished a tedious project. I'm looking forward to hearing about your new books and seeing your progress on the stitchery. Have a very restful evening.
How cute are those scissors???? I've been adoring those for a couple of weeks online now and wondered how they were. I like the prim finish the best.
Books and tea.....nothing better. Quiet.

We had fog on New Year's Eve which was very unusual for us for this time of year. Like you, I don't mind the fog except if I have to drive in it! lol Enjoy your books and stitching, a perfect way to spend a winter's day:-) xoxo

I really should start stitching again. I used to do quite a bit at one time!
Hi Linda! So glad to see you blogging again. I kept checking during December. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas? I got sidetracked yesterday when I read this entry and went to Amazon to put the book A Darcy Christmas in my basket. :-)
Love the little black stork scissors! Stitching is the best thing on a winter's day, isn't it? I like fog too...and snow and rain...
Hugs from Holland ~

Your fog photo is perfect. I was fine with the fog until yesterday when it didn't lift all day. The contractor is working on the kitchen and so the heat is turned off and it was 59 in the house. I made tea and put on my coat and read too. My cute boy got me a Kindle for Christmas and I'm reading more.
Hugs to you in this cold, Kathy
I love fog. There is a peacefullness to it. Love the photo! Have a great reading and stitching. blessings,Kathleen
Oooh, I like your new books! I need to catch up on my Monica Ferris series. They're cozy mysteries.
I like your new project!
Happy new year to you & yours!
