I can hardly believe it's been over two weeks since I last posted. I wish I could tell you I've been on a wonderful vacation but truth be told I've just been away from my computer. Doing nothing really special just day to day living. Besides doing my regular household routine and naturally grocery shopping we had a huge garage sale that took forever to get ready for. I sold stuff that at one time I thought was wonderful...I don't know what I was thinking, LOL. What I didn't sell I donated, I only kept a few decorative plates, actually I'm still in the process of donating and tossing, I tell you it's feels so good de-cluttering. Don't get me wrong I still love peddlers fairs but I'm not buying with the idea of finding a home for the little treasures, I have to know what I'm going to do with it.
Had lunch with Jeanie, Sharon, Marcia, Susan and Janice, my high school friends, lots of sharing and laughs, we are going to try for a day trip to San Francisco this summer. Doesn't that sound fun?
Lisa and I saw Sex In The City 2...lots of fun fashion and shoes but I thought it was kind of raunchy in a couple of different places. We also saw Letters To Juliet....LOVED it. If you've seen either of these films I'm wondering what you thought of them? Have you seen any good movies?
As I mentioned I'm still going to a peddlers fairs. Recently there was one in the quaint little town of Auburn, besides the fair sellers they have some great little antique shops too. I found this darling little green cast iron vase with it's own little frog.
as soon as I spotted it I knew it would be perfect to hold some of my scissors....

Hi Linda, Auburn is one of the places that my husband and brother drove through on their "bucket trip!" I love the green frog for your scissors. Sounds like a fun reunion with your friends. I have something similar planned for late June with some old college girlfriends.
Love the frog vase it is perfect for your scissors !
It always feels good to de clutter once in a while its a must.

Having just made a yard sale last month I know what a lot of work goes into it! Like you, what I didn't sell, I donated and yes, it feels wonderful to declutter:-)
I've been spending a lot of time outside since we've been having such gorgeous weather so my blogging and visits have suffered as well. I'm sure everyone understands, though:-)
How lovely that you've been able to spend time with your friends. Is San Francisco ready to have you all there?? hehe
I haven't seen either of the movies you mentioned. I usually wait for them to be available on dvd and then I rent them:-)
Love that frog vase you found and what a brilliant idea to use it for your scissors!! xoxo
Those weeks fly by, don't they! Happens to me all the time.
What a cool idea, putting the scissors in the frog!
Hey girl! I love love love your vintage scissor holder.. I have a couple of old frogs but never seem to find a use for them....... Looks like you have found a good use for yours! Hope you are having a good summer.....Seems that the times just goes toooooooooooo fast.......
Good to have you back although isn't it wonderful to have some PC free time.
I've seen SATC2 and loved it... It was naughty in parts but I think it was done with such humour.

Well done on your sorting out your treasures from things you no longer need! We have been doing so much of this if feels great although like you say strange to start with ...things you once held dear, maybe from the past dont have the same feel anymore. Enjoy your de-cluttered space!

Oh my, you have as many scissors as Heidi has. That holder is great for them. I love the doily. I have many that my Mom made, and now my Granddaughter makes them.
I know what you mean, I have things I look at now and think why did I buy all of this stuff. It is hard to part with though.
I saw Letters to Juliet. I loved it. I didn't know what to expect, my cousin wanted to see it. I don't go to many movies. It has to be one I really feel interested in.
Have a good day.
Nancy
Love scissors! And love flower frogs although I can never find them. I have one for my scissors and also have a scissor tree. A wire tree that I hang my fobbed scissor in instead of ornaments.
Great that your garage sale was a success. Our tastes change and a good clear out is fun.
Hugs from Holland ~

I've seen both Letters to Juliet and Sex in the City 2 .. love love loved Juliet! Liked Sex but not as much as the first one.
I watched Valentine's Day over the weekend, thought it was really cute and worth seeing. I also watched An Education. British movie which I really liked, but not everyone's cup of tea .. no pun intended :)
