With our house you step right into the living room, there is a short wall on your left where our hall tree is, holding some of the canes Carl collects...you can even see two of the hats I wore as a child. This small wall and two other walls we painted using a Sage green called Restful...I love it. It is very pretty but the picture really doesn't reflect the true color. The hutch wall is also painted this color and you can just see a bit of the dinning room wall using this color. All the other walls, ceiling, moulding and beams are an Ivory tone.
I'm not sure if you remember all the plates and silhouettes I had on the hutch wall...well, I decided not to put them up again....not sure what I'll be putting there but I like the clean look. Not too sure how long this will last because you know how I like lots of stuff out and about.....I always say more is better, so we'll see.

That paint color is aptly named - it is very restful. Everything looks so crisp and clean - I LOVE it! Those childhood hats of yours are adorable. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Your room looks lovely. I especially like the bookcase wall. The wall texture is beautiful. Is it a wooden wall? I've never seen anything like that before.
I like the small pictures you've hung below the bookshelves. And I absolutely LOVE the tricycle in front of the fireplace!
Oh, your room looks so crisp and welcoming. Fresh paint is amazing! Just puts a whole new look on a room! Enjoyed the tour!
Isn't it so nice when you have a project done???
I washed down the walls in my bedroom today and started working on my walk-in closet...now that closet is a real chore but I will prevail ...lol...thanks for sharing with us. Dianntha
It sure looks great and now you can enjoy your hard work!
Love the lamp shade in the other post!
Warmly,
Deb :)
What a lovely room! It is a fresh breeze when a room is just painted. Those hats are from your childhood? That is just so special. I cannot believe that were saved. What a treasure! You did not hang your silhouettes??? How can you resist them? As you know, I love them too and find they give a restful glow to a room.
Hugs from Holland ~

So pretty! It's always nice to get things finished in one's home! blessings,Kathleen
Wow! It looks great, Linda! The paint color lets your decorations shine--great job!
Hi Linda, I want fresh and clean! We need to paint our main living area so bad. If I could I would paint it myself as I don't mind it all, but the ceilings in parts of the area are vaulted and terrible to paint so I guess I will leave it to the pros. I love the sage green color on your walls. Everything looks so pretty. I still look for heart rocks for you. xoxo
You have a lovely home,
Victoria xx

Hi Linda,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment.
Your home looks lovely. I love that hall tree, it's such a great piece and a wonderful piece to showcase your husband's cane collection and your hats. Jane
Doesn't it feel so good when you have a house all freshly painted!! It looks wonderful and I really love the way you have everything set up, it all looks so welcoming. Hmmm, now that you have all this experience, you can come help me paint mine?? hehe xoxo
Everything looks great and I bet it feels fresh too. I like the coved wood wall. Very neat looking.
Have a great week!
Hi again Linda, I was pleased that Sandra Bullock won best actress. She was so gracious in her speech. I haven't actually seen any of the films that were nominated would you believe!
