~ December ~

December is here and Christmas is coming! Thanksgiving was wonderful....yummy leftovers finished, a bit of turkey frozen and all my little turkey figurines tucked away. I've just started putting out Christmas....I feel like I'm a little behind. Anyone else feeling like that? This little elf is keeping....... me company in the kitchen. Just laundered curtains and a fun

swag I bought but I did tuck in little pieces of homespun fabric.

My granma's chopping bowl filled will holiday greens and a small tuck pillow with the sleigh I stitched for my honey. Well, I best get busy, see you soon...hugs, Linda

Very cute and charming.

I keep seeing those adorable elves on various blogs and each time I remark that my parents have had an elf like this since at least the 1950's. He was a part of every one of our childhood Christmases and each year still, my sisters and I all look for the Elf within our parents' Christmas display. They are my next door neighbors, so I'll have to head over there soon and look for the cheery elf. :)

Hope you have a great time decorating. I'm nearly done with everything and just getting ready to enjoy this brief and precious season.

Blessings always,
Linda

I love your cute little elf. Your farther along than I am. I can't wait to get my house all decorated. I did get my cards mailed yesterday, so that's a really good feeling. That swag is really pretty to Linda. Enjoy your day. Kathi

I haven't done any decorating yet. Just my tumbling snowmen.

It is only December 1st so not too far behind. I got some of mine done yesterday. I like the bowl of pine cones. I used to have curtains just like those.
I'll be sending your little gifty off on Friday if all goes according to plan. You'll have a little surprise, you might just put it under the tree and wait till Christmas to open it, ha.
Did you see the elf I made with an abc block? I need to sit it on my shelf above the sink. Just the place for it.
Have fun decorating,
Mama Bear

Oooooohhhhhh! I love your sweet little vintage elf! My mother had some of these in our original box of tree ornaments. She never gets any of it out anymore. I think she should as they are so very adorable. I should know as I am an elf too. *wink*

I still have to clear up in order to start my Christmas decorating. I did just pack the box of autumn decorations this morning. I have to keep resting though as my gums throb. I want to get busy but can't and that is frustrating. I went to bed early with a fever last night so I need to rest more today.

Hugs ~
Heidi who is looking forward to seeing even more of your festive Christmas house!

I love those little elves. He looks so sweet on your window sill. I am feeling rushed also. I do a little here and there. By the time it is all up, it will be time to start thinking about putting it away!

Ooooh that's the same kind of elf that I found at the thrift shop last week:-) They're so adorable, aren't they! I love your idea of putting greenery and such in a bowl, so simple and yet so beautiful. xoxo

Love your little elf. Is he originally old or one of the remakes? I remember growing up with one or two elves around the house .. I wonder where they are? I'll have to check with my dad .. I'd love to find them.

Love your chopping bowl and greens .. very sweet

You always display things in such a pretty way Linda. I have an old wooden bowl filled with greenery and clementines on a table in my living room, right now. I love the simple look of it.

I hope you are having a lovely day!
