Mildred mentioned you can even put food coloring in the water and color the blooms. I added red and now I have pretty pink lace. How cool is that? Tonight is stitching and we are working on a couple of pieces. Eerie Halloween...
this is a fun piece and I'm using all DMC floss on 32count linen, I have no idea the name of it. We are also stitching.....
Free Bird, now this one we're using Crescent Colors and my fabric is 30count French Vanilla....this is only the third time for me stitching on linen, I'm a little slow but I'm loving it. Happy Days and Hugs to you, Linda

ReplyDeleteIt is not the speed but the pleasure of stitching that matters! I am a slow stitcher but love each moment. I am thrilled you tried linen now. It is just so beautiful to stitch on and you have the options of more sizes of count. Will be watching your fun new projects...
ReplyDeleteThe pink Queen Anne's lace is fabulous! So that trick does work. We don't have food coloring in Holland but I bet there are some natural things you could put in the water too.

I can't wait to try linen that is lined....it looks so pretty and awe I love the idea of adding food coloring to the water on flowers, we always do this for the kids with celery during our plant week at school...(but how boring is celery)...next year I am gonna have to find me some Queen Anne's Lace...love ya....shhhhhh keep it on the down low but I am sending "Uncle" a SURPRISE...LOVE YA, JENN
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it would be hard to work with, does it have the cross stitch weave or is it just fabric that you print your pattern on...I'll share some of my 'Gardener's Journal' pieces in the next few days.
