~~Love This Plant~~

I love this plant....it's been around for years. Both my granma and mom had one in their yard....maybe that's partly why I like it so much.I bought a small slip in a coffee can from the same little old man that I bought my patch of violets from...he told me it's name but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. Do you know??
This morning I picked a bouquet of these pretty, pretty, pink flowers for my kitchen...I put them in a mason jar and put it on the sink. It's one of the first things I see as I come into the kitchen and they just add such a bright spot..love them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I 'm really looking forward to this weekend......Sunday is Mother's Day but I'm celebrating both days. Saturday , Lisa is taking me to a Mother's Tea at the sweetest tea shop ever ...Treasured Teatime. This is a lovely shop with the most delish sweets and savories.....if you are ever in the area stop by and enjoy. I know you won't be disappointed. Sunday is the WX Peddlers Faire, this is always fun and a bonus treat being on Mother's Day. For dinner we are having bar-b-que with all my favorites......I think a pretty nice two days. What are your weekend plans? Whatever you do enjoy and have a Happy Mothers Day. Hugs, Linda xoxo
  2. You know, I don't have any. I was thinking this morning that we would go to worship service at the church we joined when we first moved here. And maybe out to lunch but it will be crowded out there. I won't be with any of my children, sob, sob!
    Happy Mohter's Day to you. The flower looks a little like Verbena.
  13. Hi Linda,
    Sounds like a fab weekend for you! Great idea to make a whole weekend of Mother's Day! Hope you have lovely weather for your barbeque.
    I've seen that flower before, I'm with Love Bears All Things, I think it is one of the many varieties of VERBENA. Maybe take a stem to your local nursery next time you are there and get them to identify it for you?
  25. Linda: It was such a treat to meet you and Linda at the flea market today. Thank you so much for the little gift. You are a dear. I'm a firm believer that bloggers are the nicest and most generous people. I hope you were able to find some treasures today. I found a wonderful Scotty dog that Becky says is a treasure and also a pink vase to add to my pink collection.
    I hope we cross paths again.
  39. Hi sweet Linda, I hope your Mother's Day weekend was wonderful. Your plans sounded so nice. I don't know what your pink flower is. I posted some flowers today too. Come see. ~ Lynn
  40. I don't think it is Phlox, but I get that mixed up with something they used to call Stock. I remember it smelled very, very sweet. My mother was the gardener. Unfortunately, I did not inherit her gift.
  41. Your flowers look so pretty and old fashioned in that jar. I have these flowers too, only I have the white blooming ones. I've only know them as Joseph's Beard. I'll look it up in the next day or two and see if I can find another name for it.
    Thank you for your kind comments and for your warm welcome back to blogging.
