Santa's Been and Gone

Good morning everyone! Christmas was all that anyone could ever hope for at our home. All of our family is in Texas and they are so missed but we talked with our loved ones and that was wonderful plus we wished friends in Idaho and Georgia a happy day. Dinner was delish and Santa was very nice to us. Yesterday I just spent the day ...........................
gazing at our tree, listening to music, and working on a puzzle from an elf. It was just so nice to sit back and enjoy the calm and reflect on the wonderful Christmas we had..............Today I'm just itching to .............take down my Santa collection. I want to put my Moonstone out. My good friend gave me two beautiful pieces for my collection and I can hardly wait to display them. Carolyn, my SIL in Texas received her first piece of Moonstone for Christmas.......you are going to have fun collecting, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
Have you started taking down your Christmas things yet? When do you take down your tree? I'll be taking down our tree on New Years, in between the football games.
Have a lovely day, and continue to savor the season. Linda

  2. Hi, Linda girl....thanks for stopping by to take the tour on my site. It was fun going that night, cold and wintery and the biggest plus was that I went with my daughter and her crew. That is always a good thing!
My tree is down, all my decorations packed away, living room and dining room clean and straight again. It all looks just a tiny bit bare but.....I love it. I love Christmas and all the things that go with it but I am always ready to take a clean, deep breath and move on!
Now....I need to get caught up on laundry....TOMORROW!

  4. Hi Linda! I haven't started taking anything down yet since I've been going to work everyday since Christmas. I'll probably start on it this weekend and perhaps weed a few things out to make some room.

You asked about the napkin Christmas tree fold. The directions are on KJ's blog...the link is on mine...and it's quite easy.

    Happy New Year!

  12. I am so glad that you had a wonderful Christmas. We did too. I am hoping that I can leave our tree up until the 6th of January. The way the cat is knocking things off however might make me take it down a bit before then.

  18. Hey Linda, My tree is still standing and I really don't have a day in mind just yet to take it down. As for my Santa collection on the mantle...I took them down and replaced them with snowmen. I also took down the window wreaths much to my girls dismay. Dianntha

  20. I love your Santa collection and look forward to seeing your moonstone collection.
I tend to leave my decorations up for a week or more after New Years, but since I have a live tree this year I will probably take the tree down New Years Day.
