Saturday and Sunday.....

were two beautiful days here. Lots of sunshine a perfect day to be outdoors. I did do a few little things around the house and then I spent most of yesterday on the patio creating.... fun little scissor fobs. Here are three of my favorites. I call these...
scissor eye candy....they just make me happy. The owl scissors are from Lisa, the middle pair were a treat to myself and the red and blue pair were an anniversary gift from Carl. I love using different scissors for each stitch project....I never know what will strike my fancy. I know lots of stitchers have a scissor addiction....I'm thinking I'm one of them. Besides making fobs yesterday I started this sweet little free stitchie from Lori of Not Forgotten Farm....
and finished it this evening. I plan to make it into a little pillow or door hanger...not quite sure which.....but I'll share when it's all stitched up.
I hope you will visit Lori's blog...you will enjoy, all you need to do is click on her name. Oh, and for the little free stitch you can find it on her April 17th post.
Hugs and enjoy creating...hugs, Linda

They are on the dinning room table to enjoy, savor the memories of the weekend and the two most important people in my life, who do the sweetest things, they are my world. ~ Lisa's Bazaar Birthday ~

Oh, my goodness. Yesterday was Lisa's birthday and I didn't share it. But I tell you it was a bazaar day. We had plans for a special birthday dinner celebration, fixing all her favorites but that has been postponed to this coming weekend and let me tell you why.

Sunday evening she got the worst toothache...it would come and go. She took Tylenol and used some stuff you put on your gum and that helped a bit. Monday she called her dentist bright and early....office closed, Tuesday she called. By this time she was better but guess where she spent her birthday? Yup, the dentist and she had a root canal. So her dinner was a bowl of tomato soup and a tiny piece of her Fruit Basket cake. Happy Birthday honey...we love you very much. So sorry about your special day, but we'll have a nice celebration on Saturday...hugs, kisses and all our love.....Mama and Papa

~ My Weekend ~

Saturday and Sunday were both lovely sunny days with temps in the 80s. Saturday I just puttered the day away and Sunday I went to Colorado...well actually I spent nearly all day on the patio.... reading a wonderful new book, Prayers For Sale, set in Colorado. It's by a favorite author of mine...Sandra Dallas. The story takes place in 1936, during the Great Depression and tells the wonderful story of friendship between two women, Hennie and Nit. For me this is a can't put down book and I don't want to see it end book. I know others might not feel this way about PFS or any of Sandra Dallas's books but that's how I respond to her stories. Besides reading...
I also stitched a little on Kindrid Sprits....this was one of our stitch alongs but I put it aside last September when I went on vacation and this is the first time I've picked it up since then....me thinks I'm very naughty. I need to finish kitty, do the border and a pin wheel and then frame it which I'm going to give a try. Hope you all had a fun weekend, see you soon...hugs, Linda
